Our Mission
Club Goals
Phoenix Squadron aims to make the most exciting and innovative drone technologies easily accessible to Concordia's students. Along with broadening and exposing more students to the wonders of UAV technology, our ultimate goal will be to start enabling students to proficiently fly their drones and program advanced drone autonomy features. During the current Academic year, our 3 milestones are to have students become confident and seasoned pilots, equip them with the knowledge to develop advanced drone applications, and have the CCAs culminate in a demonstration of the student's research projects
R&D Goals
PFL aims at bringing cutting-edge robotics frameworks to students of Concordia to enable them to create the next revolutionary intelligent UAV solutions. One of the paramount goals would be to teach students about Python programming and gain proficiency in Linux Systems running ROS. Students would use RasPi4s as companion computers alongside the Pix2.4.8 Flight computer. Students would work on developing their own research projects based on their learnings.
